Silver Ghost, the fact-based feature film that we first detailed back in August, now has acclaimed director Asif Kapadia in place to direct.

Martin Scorsese and Anthony Haas produce the film, which comes from Scorsese”s shingle Sikelia and Zuma Productions. Kapadia directs from a screenplay by Jeffrey Caine and Sharman Macdonald.

Set at the turn of the century, the film explores the story behind Charles Stewart Rolls and Sir Frederick Henry Royce – creators of one of the most famous brands in the world. The film will also take a look at how a love affair is said to have been the inspiration behind the now iconic emblem of the Rolls Royce, the Spirit of Ecstasy.
