Dark Angel eyes late August shoot
ITV’s new period drama, Dark Angel, starring Joanne Froggatt, is currently gearing up to shoot in late August.
The two-parter is based on the true story of the Victorian poisoner Mary Ann Cotton, and comes from World Productions. Shooting locations include Yorkshire – the production is backed by Screen Yorkshire‘s Content Fund – and County Durham.
The producer is Jake Lushington, with exec producers Kirstie Macdonald and Simon Heath. Emmy award-winning Brian Percival directs from a script by Gwyneth Hughes.

World Productions have just wrapped shooting on the third series of Line of Duty, which has been filming in Belfast over the last four months and now Series 4 is already in the pipeline. Details on both commissions are currently on Production Intelligence, along with a round up of the crucial hires and shoot dates on The Secret Agent, the shingle’s major new adaptation of Joseph Conrad’s novel for BBC One.ÂÂ
