Mindhorn to film in the UK later this summer

Feature film Mindhorn is gearing up for over five weeks of shooting starting later this summer.

The film is from Scott Free Productions and centres on a once famous actor known for playing a TV detective who becomes tangled up in a crime on the island where he lives.

There was some speculation on social media sites that the film would star Matthew Macfadyen, but we confirmed with his agent that he just starred in the teaser. We look forward to seeing who will play the washed up thespian.

Making his directorial feature debut is Sean Foley (pictured), well known for his work in theatre as one half of the Right Size Theatre Company, which was established in 1988 with his performing partner Hamish McColl, and which is best known for writing and performing The Play What I Wrote.

Foley will be calling the shots from a screenplay by Julian Barratt and Simon Farnaby; log in to Production Intelligence for more including shoot dates, line producer and production designer.
