Set to begin filming in June, SAS: The Selection, from shingle Minnow Films, will see a group of men from a variety of backgrounds begin one of the most intense and challenging military entrance processes on the planet.

The show will chart the progress of each individual as they are tested physically and mentally to see if they are up to the benchmark required to complete the gruelling challenges.

The fixed-rig format means the recruits will be totally isolated and will only be allowed contact with each other and the ex-SAS servicemen who will administer the exams, which will include sleep deprivation, endurance marches and interrogation.
