PACT’s McVay to lead Creative Diversity Network
Chief executive of PACT, John McVay, has been named as the new chair of the Creative Diversity Network (CDN) board for the next two years.
The coming year will see the CDN move to a permanent executive model, with McVay’s board in charge of the organisation, and subsequently its long term strategies. The CDN Permanent Executive will comprise three roles: manager, administrator and executive director, with the latter leading the CDN organisation and being accountable to the board. Recruitment is underway for this position now.
One of the main tenets of the CDN is the need to ensure that television “continues to represent all parts of British society, both onscreen and within the industry”.
McVay said of his new role: “I am very excited to become the new chair of the CDN Board. It’s a great opportunity and a very significant one, as it’s the first time that a member of Pact has chaired the CDN.
“My main focus will be to build on all the great work that the CDN has achieved under Adam Crozier’s tenure, and support the new CDN executives to further energise the work of the CDN and its members, in order to deliver our shared commitments to an even more diverse and successful industry.”
