Charles Dickens Drama: The Invisible Woman: From Production Intelligence
It”s a big year for Charles Dickens aficionados – to mark the bicentenary of the author”s birth, a plethora of dramas and documentaries are in the pipeline.
Cameras are set to roll at the end of April on a feature adaptation of Claire Tomalin”s biography, from prolific screenwriter Abi Morgan.
‘The Invisible Woman” examines Charles Dickens” long running and secret affair with English actress Ellen ‘Nelly” Ternan; he was 45 when he fell for her aged 18, describing her as ‘irresistible”.
The film marks Ralph Fiennes” second outing as director, and comes from Headline Pictures and NYC-based Magnolia Mae Films.
