Stacey & Joe lands third series
BBC1 reality show returns for shorter three-part run
The BBC has ordered a third series of reality show Stacey & Joe from Optomen.
The third series will see Joe Swash open a fishing lake and glamping site, aiming to create a space where young people with mental health challenges can spend time in nature.
It is a reduced run of 3 x 60-minutes, compared to six eps for the first two series.
The series was ordered by former head of docs Clare Sillery with commissioning editor Beejal-Maya Patel.
The executive producers are Charlotte Brookes and Rebecca McLaughlin, the series producer is Katja Bojic-Macintosh, the series director is Tom Yeates and the creative directors for Optomen Television are Nick Hornby and Tina Flintoff.
All3Media will handle the global distribution.
Patel said: “It’s such a treat to spend time with their family in all its chaos, joy and glory. No family is perfect but the Solomon – Swashes remind us just how much fun the juggle and balancing act can be and is all the more refreshing for it.”
