Boldprint Studios appoints Emma Lehrer as head of production

South Shore exec joins Phil Harris’s Fremantle indie

Boldprint Studios is reinforcing its management team with the addition of South Shore exec Emma Lehrer as its head of production.

Lehrer will bring her two decades of industry experience to the Fremantle-backed label. She will be working closely with creative director Lou Hutchinson and will report into chief executive Phil Harris.

Lehrer has been head of production at South Shore since 2022, managing a broad slate of programming, leading production strategy and supporting the delivery of series. Her credits there include Freddie’s Field of Dreams on Tour (BBC2) and Flintoff (Disney+).

Prior to her time at South Shore, Lehrer spent five years in multiple production roles at ITV Studios, working on titles such as The Voice, Dancing on Ice, Rugby World Cup and The Invictus Games.

Her hire follows that of Dan Gray as Boldprint’s head of programmes and Jack Adcock’s promotion to head of development.

Harris said: “People are everything to us at Boldprint and we’ve got another great one in Emma. She’s a smart, thoughtful leader who brings an outstanding track record of consistently delivering ambitious, large-scale productions.

“Her appointment marks the start of the next exciting period of growth for the business.”

Lehrer added: “Boldprint is all about bold ideas and brilliant people, which is exactly the kind of environment I thrive in. I’m excited to be part of the team and to help bring the next wave of standout productions to life.”
