The series has taken in a range of south-coast locations including Brighton and Eastbourne.

Filming wraps today, 16 August, on Sky Atlantic drama The Death of Bunny Munro, starring Matt Smith.

From Clerkenwell Films in association with Sky Studios, the 6 x 60’ drama has been in production around the south coast since early May, taking in locations including Brighton, Saltdean Lido, Eastbourne, Worthing and Shoreham-by-Sea.

The drama is based on the novel by Nick Cave and centres on the eponymous Bunny (Smith), an alcohol-abusing door-to-door salesman and self-professed lothario who, following his wife’s suicide, embarks on a chaotic road trip with his young son – as a serial killer is heading the same way.

The Death of Bunny Munro is written by Pete Jackson and directed by Isabella Eklöf. Cave also executive produces, alongside Sky Studios’ Manpreet Dosanjh, Clerkenwell’s Petra Fried, Ed Macdonald and Emily Harrison, Jackson and Eklöf. Matthew Mulot produces.

Cave said at the time of the commissioning news: “Finally, someone with the courage to take on this unholy tale. I am thrilled that Sky and Clerkenwell Films are bringing Bunny to life, in all his flawed glory, and I can think of nobody better than Matt Smith to play him.”
