Starry cast expands on Thursday Murder Club film
The starry cast on the new big-screen adaptation of The Thursday Murder Club has grown with several new additions joining the project, that is directed by Chris Columbus.
Richard E Grant, Tom Ellis, Geoff Bell, Paul Freeman, Sarah Niles and Ingrid Oliver are now supporting the lead quartet of Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie.
David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays and Henry Lloyd-Hughes had also been recently confirmed.
Filming is based at Shepperton Studios, where Netflix has taken eight of the stages that were recently completed in the studio’s expansion, along with their existing 14 leased on the original site.
The Thursday Murder Club is adapted by Katy Brand, Suzanne Heathcote and Chris Columbus from Richard Osman’s best-selling 2020 novel of the same name. The feature adaptation is the latest project to come from the Netflix/Amblin film partnership, that includes the forthcoming Carry-On with Jason Bateman and Taron Egerton.
Chris Columbus also produces alongside Jennifer Todd; the executive producers are Holly Bario, Jeb Brody, Eleanor Columbus, Jo Burn and Osman.
