The Buccaneers recommissioned at Apple TV+
Apple TV+ has greenlit a second series of period drama The Buccaneers, from production company The Forge.Â

The Buccaneers was Edith Wharton’s final novel, and was unfinished when she died in the late 1930s.
The book centres on five affluent and fun-loving American girls who take part in the London season in the 1870s, sent by their families to try to secure wealthy husbands of high social standing.Â

The first series, written by Katherine Jakeways, comprised 8 x 60 episodes and filmed in Scotland in summer 2022.Â

It starred Mia Threapleton, Christina Hendricks, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Kristine Frøseth, Imogen Waterhouse and Aubri Ibrag. Susanna White directed.Â
