Media Production & Technology Show is just around the corner!
To some, spring heralds longer, lighter days, new growth and blooming landscapes. To us, it heralds the Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS), coming up on 10 and 11 May!
Launched in 2016, The Media Production & Technology Show has rapidly cemented its position as the UK's largest and must-attend event for the media and broadcast industries.
To illustrate the scale of the event now, this year it is being held for the first time in the Grand Hall of Olympia London – the venue’s largest event space.
When it first launched, the event focused more on the creative side of content production, but has since evolved and expanded to explore the technological innovations which support the vast and varied production industry in the UK today.
Over two days, the show hosts a swathe of exhibitors, interactively demo-ing their vital products. There is a huge range of free sessions and seminars too, in themed theatre spaces, covering all aspects of broadcast content. From prep to shooting, from post to VP, and from audio to distribution – all aspects are there.
Last year there were more than 300 exhibitors and around 10,00 attendees across the two days.
The speaker line-up is impressive too. Among those confirmed so far for this year's event are: renowned screenwriters Chris Lang and Danny Brocklehurst; CEO Creative Diversity Network Deborah Williams; Daniela Neumann, managing director Spun Gold; James Burstall, CEO Argonon; Maria French, head of production Windfall Films Ltd; TV presenter and chef John Whaite and virtual production supervisor Louisa Bremner, with many more listed on the MPTS website, and with more still to come.
MPTS is organised by Media Business Insight (MBI) Ltd, publishers of market-leading titles including Broadcast, Broadcast Sport, Broadcast Tech, KFTV, The Knowledge and Screen International. MBI is a GlobalData company. The headline sponsor for this year’s MPTS is Neom.
