Exclusive: Guy Pearce, Alex Pettyfer film Sunrise in Northern Ireland
Guy Pearce and Alex Pettyfer are filming Sunrise in Northern Ireland, directed by Andrew Baird and produced by Martin Brennan.
Little is known about the feature, but it reunites Pearce and Baird, who worked together on neo-noir sci-fi feature Zone 414, which also filmed in Northern Ireland in early 2020, at Titanic Studios.
Baird recently posted a mysterious picture of a ragged red coat (pictured, left) on his Facebook page, tagging it ‘#film3’, suggesting that Sunrise could be the third of a trilogy.
Northern Ireland is now one of the UK’s key production hubs, offering major studios such as Titanic and Belfast Harbour, and providing a wide pool of experienced crew.
Kevin Hart recently filmed feature Lift there, Euston Films is gearing up to shoot the second series of horror comedy wreck in the region and Ridley Scott is currently prepping a NI shoot on Blade Runner 2099.
