Salisbury poisoning drama begins filming

BBC Two Salisbury, a drama based on the Novichok poisonings in 2018, begins a two-month shoot this week.

The 2 x 60 for BBC Two is from Dancing Ledge Productions and writers Adam Patterson and Declan Lawn.

It explores how the local residents reacted to the unfolding crisis as fear and the world’s media descended on their city.

Patterson and Lawn also executive produce alongside Chris Carey, Laurence Bowen and Lucy Richer.

Production Intelligence has further details of the key production personnel attached.

When the drama was first announced, Dancing Ledge CEO Bowen said of the subject matter: “This is the story of the poisonings in Salisbury that hasn’t been told - the story of a community living through the real life horror of an invisible threat that could and did kill without warning, a story of tragedy but also of resilience, and pride.

“It’s a real privilege to be involved in its telling.”
