The third series of dystopian drama Silo begins shooting this week at a UK studio.

Based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling Silo trilogy, Wool, Shift and Dust, the dystopian drama centres on a community of the last 10,000 people on earth who live in a giant silo beneath the surface to protect themselves from the toxic, fatal outside world. None of them knows why or when the silo was built, and those who try to find answers face a deadly outcome…

Graham Yost adapts the source material, with star Rebecca Ferguson among the executive producers; the series shoots at Hoddesdon Studios in Hertfordshire. Silo also previously filmed at OMA One Film Studios; Series Three will also film there and at OMA X Film Studios in Enfield.

Silo is produced for Apple TV+ by Apple Studios. The series is executive produced by Yost, Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Ferguson, Morten Tyldum, Howey, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon and AMC Studios.

Series Two airs from next month; it was on hiatus for the second half of 2023 due to the dual US strikes, and completed production earlier this year. It co-stars Steve Zahn, Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie and Iain Glen.
