Lloyds TSB Launches First London 2012 TV Ad

This weekend saw high street bank Lloyds TSB unveil its first London 2012-themed TV commercial. Created by RKRC/Y&R, the ad continued with the animation approach used in recent executions but added the strapline: “Bringing London 2012 closer to you.”

The new ad also told viewers that the bank would be running competitions for London 2012 tickets, an incentive that might prove appealing given the number of people who have failed to secure tickets via the recent LOCOG Lottery. With BP and Visa already in the market with 2012 TV ads, the next few months is likely to see a surge in Olympic-themed commercial campaigns.
