The Aeronauts films UK in the spring
A period feature for Amazon Studios about two 19th century hot air balloonists is due to film in the UK in the spring.
Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, who starred together in The Theory of Everything, are reportedly lining up to play the leads in The Aeronauts.
The feature centres on scientist James Glaisher and pilot Amelia Wren who, in 1862, attempted to fly higher in an open balloon than anyone had before.
Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman produce for Mandeville Films in LA, with Tom Harper on board to direct Jack Thorne’s screenplay.
