Luther Series 5 gears up
The fifth series of the London-set crime drama Luther starring Idris Elba is readying for pre-production with filming set for early 2018.
The show’s creator Neil Cross has written the series, which will be delivered to BBC One and BBC America as 4 x 60 episodes.
When it was first announced, Cross said: “What happened to John Luther after we last saw him striding unbowed through the streets of his city, his blood-red London? It can’t be over, can it? There’s so much we don’t know. So much unfinished business.”
The drama is made in-house by BBC Studios and co-produced by BBC America. The executive producers are Elba, Cross, Marcus Wilson, Hilary Salmon and Elizabeth Kilgarriff.
